Government of Canada Recognizes Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month

Thursday, January 4, 2024Canada's Minister of Health has made a statement to mark January as Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month.We are pleased to see the federal government acknowledge the increased cancer risk for firefighters and look forward to working with government and industry associations, like the International Association of Fire Fighters, the Firefighter Cancer Support Network, and the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs on a national framework to address these issues for all cancers.
