BBC News sounds the alarm on rising early onset pancreatic cancer rates

Saturday, October 5, 2024Research shows that Gen-Xers and Millennials are facing a significantly higher risk of developing pancreatic and other cancers than previous generations. BBC News spoke with Eileen O'Reilly, a gastrointestinal medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, who expressed concern over the increasing early onset cancer diagnoses."I find it an incredibly scary observation that we're seeing incidence of pancreatic cancer and other solid organ cancers going up in the young. To me, it's a looming public health crisis."
